'Night Through The Moon Gate'
I've loved painting on these round canvases which feel like looking through a portal into a secret summer garden. We'd not long been at the night time light festival at Pukekura Park when this was painted and I think I've carried that feeling of magic and colour that encompasses the festival through onto this canvas. It's a bit special and I might have to revisit this colour palette at some point. I've continued the paint around the sides of the canvas to eliminate the need for framing.

500mm diameter x 20mm deep - acrylic on canvas, satin varnish, sides painted to match the front, signed and ready to hang.
