Hi, I'm Nicola Welten, an expressionist artist based in Tauranga, New Zealand.
I love creating vibrant, uplifting paintings based on my personal experiences. My artwork brings nature into your living or work spaces in a joyful and exuberant way.
I'm currently working towards two shows coming up in the next few months, NZ Art Show in Wellington at King's Birthday Weekend and the Auckland Art Show in July.

ARTISTS IMPRESSIONS OF NEW ZEALAND 2024 - Cover Artist
I am absolutely thrilled that my painting 'Solstice Sunset' (pictured below) has been selected to be on the cover of the Artists Impressions of New Zealand calendar for 2024. What an absolute honour. The calendar is produced by Elastic Design and published by Brown Trout Australia Publishers and is available in New Zealand book shops and stationers until it's sold out.
Keep an eye out for it at Whitcoulls, The Warehouse, Warehouse Stationery, Take Note or your local independent book store! I'm going to be buzzing over this one for quite some time!
