'In Eliza's Footsteps'
A trip across Australia in winter from Adelaide back to Melbourne had me tracing the footsteps of my great great grandmother Eliza Nye who had lived in the area in the 1860's as a young bride. Ahead of us in the distance loomed the beautiful Grampian Mountains, our destination as we drove and I had so many questions about her life I wanted answers to. She lived in beautiful places but undoubtedly her life was incredibly difficult. I hope she gained some solace from the natural beauty that surrounded her.
