'I Grew These For You'

I had envisaged a dark pink background with white blooms.  I’m loathe to ever paint a specific genus of flower given that I approach my work from an angle of expressionism above all else. But these blooms kept trying very hard to be peonies so I stopped fighting them and leaned into that. I’d love to grow them in my own garden but when you live in the very tropical Bay Of Plenty, that is just not going to be a reality. So in my altered painty reality. Here are my peonies. I ‘grew’ them myself
